Tap the globe button in the bottom-left corner. Because this is a settings change, it's protected by a short multiplication question that a grown-up can answer. Then pick any of the 35 languages.

By default the app simply follows your device's language, so most families never need to change anything.

Kiddy Calc includes recorded number voices for every language it supports. If you hear musical notes instead of a voice, the app has fallen back to its built-in sounds — please let us know which language you were using so we can look into it.

Tap the sun or moon button in the bottom-right corner. The app also follows your device's appearance automatically: turning on Dark Mode brings out the night sky, and switching back to Light Mode brings back the sun.

It rolls a surprise number to play with. It's in the bottom-right corner, deliberately away from the keypad so it isn't pressed by accident.

Numbers longer than seven digits stop being meaningful to young children, and they no longer fit comfortably on screen. When the limit is reached, Kiddy Calc shakes its head and says so — nothing breaks, and nothing is lost.

No. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no ads of any kind. There is nothing in the app that can lead to a payment screen.

Kiddy Calc runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. On iPhone it stays in portrait so the layout is always comfortable for small hands; on iPad it rotates freely.

Kiddy Calc respects your device's silent switch and volume buttons, so you can mute it the same way you'd mute anything else. It also mixes politely with music and podcasts playing in the background.
